Admissions Requirements
With the exception of our Super Saturday programming, all students in 8th-12th grades must first be identified as a Baylor TIP Scholar before registering for our programming. Admission as a Baylor TIP Scholar can be achieved through participating in assessment or providing existing test scores.
Baylor TIP
Students in grades 8-12 are provided opportunities to learn discipline-specific content that the typical student does not encounter until undergraduate or graduate-level coursework. Classes are taught by content experts who have completed graduate work in the field that they are teaching or who have equivalent professional experiences. These experts receive specialized training and coaching in effective teaching strategies for gifted adolescents. Guided in a variety of collaborative and independent activities by these content experts, TIPsters acquire skills and knowledge specific to the fields that they are considering as college majors and careers, which allows them to refine their own goals and aspirations before getting to college.
Students must be identified as Baylor TIP Scholars in order to enroll in Baylor TIP classes.
